Could You Write the Next Juno?
is the ultimate film challenge: write a script this summer and then get it made. The competition is for comedy, action, horror, sci-fi or thriller scripts, and one script will be selected to be developed further with the writer, eventually to be financed and produced.

Norfolk Poets and Writers Open Autumn Poetry Review
is for reviews of four books that are sent to the forty entrants for free and are of up to 500 wds each. Prize: publication in Tips. Send address and four stamps to receive books.

Humanities Montana Happy Tales Literary Contest
is for stories formed from any literary work with a sad, disturbing or negative ending that have been given a happy, affirmative, uplifting and humourous ending instead. The new ending must more or less parody the idiom, style, atmosphere and so on of the original.

The Silver Thread
is a short story competition for stories of up to 2,000 wds run by People in Action who are 25 years old. Prizes: £250, £100, £50, 10@£10. Theme: Silver.

Vera Douie Fellowship
is a visiting fellowship for original research in The Womens Library Collections; the fellow also contributes to The Womens Library public programme as an outcome of their research, for example, in the form of a lecture, display, seminar or workshop. The fellowship is £4,500 for a minimum of two months, and does not include travel or accommodation costs. The fellow will have the use of a carrel at the library.
